Art Club
The purpose of the Art Club is to enhance our visual environment and to learn about the roles that art plays in our lives. The club serves not only the school but the community as well and is always looking for ways to improve our environment. The purpose is to introduce students to new media and to explore personal interests as well as prepare students for careers in art and an outlet for positive self expression.
Monroeton’s Art Club will give fourth and fifth grade students an opportunity to work collaboratively on projects which may remain within our school as permanent displays. The club offers its members numerous opportunities for socialization as well as gaining experience working with and using art materials and resources. This is a voluntary organization, disruptive or disagreeable behavior will result in dismissal from this club. All school rules will be enforced. A passion for art is required, but talent is optional.

Volleyball League
Monroeton's Intramural Volleyball League is open to students in 4th and 5th grade. The purpose of the Volleyball League is to give students an opportunity to be physically active while competing in a friendly, structured environment. In addition, it affords students the opportunity to experience comradery and improve their skills while competing against and along side equally skilled players. Mr. Wray operates one league in the fall and one in the spring. An All Star team is selected and travels to play other elementary schools in the area. Come out and watch the kids play!
Student Council
Monroeton’s Student Council is an after-school club that is focused on fostering student leadership and growing responsible community citizens. Student representatives are selected from each third, fourth, and fifth grade class. Fifth grade students also have the chance to run for an officer position and be chosen by their peers to serve. Student Council gives our students the opportunity to make a difference through volunteer work during the school day and at after-school events. Members also have the chance to participate in several service projects during the school year.
