Choirs singing together in church

The Second Graders at Huntsville and the Huntsville Chours stayed quite busy during the month of December rehearsing and performing programs for our community.

During the first week of December, the Huntsville Chorus was invited to perform with the Stokesdale Community Chorus for their annual Christmas Cantata, "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year." The students had the opportunity to perform with choir at North Pointe of Mayodan, as well as for a large audience at Gideon Grove United Methodist Church. Singing with the Stokesdale Choir was a very meaningful experience, and a wonderful opportunity for our Huntsville singers to grow musically.

On December 12th and 13th, the Second Grade performed, "A Holiday Moosical, Featuring Marty the Moose" for a school audience and our annual K-2 Pancakes for Parents Event. They did an outstanding job of reminding us of the importance of "believing," especially during the holidays. Mrs. Farrell would like to thank everyone who had a hand in making this performance come to life, especially the parents who helped rehearse lines and came through with some truly amazing costumes!

Finally, the Huntsville Chorus performed it's final show on December 20th for the 3-5 Pancakes for Parents event. The morning started with caroling in the clerestory and concluded with a short, whimsical concert of Christmas favorites including a sing-a-long of "Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer."
