Huntsville Elementary Battle of the Books
The Elementary Battle of the Books program at Huntsville encourages reading and team competition. Our reading club meets on Mondays after school in the Media Center. Each student reads books of their choice from the official EBOB list, meets and discusses the book, learns all titles and authors of the books, and prepares for team selection. Up to 12 students will be chosen to be on the Huntsville team by the EBOB Coaches. Team selection is based on commitment to EBOB, effort, mastery of material, and team work skills as evidenced at weekly meetings. Our Zone competition against Dillard and Stoneville takes place in mid-February. The winner of that competition moves onto the district-wide RCS competition in March.
