Welcome back, families! We hope you had a fun and restful fall break. We're excited to jump back into learning and continue this amazing school year together. Let’s make this next part of the year even better! Here are a few special reminders:
October 10th- Permission for students who will participate in the limo ride for the Read A Thon will go home. Please return these on October 11th to ensure your child's participation.
October 10th- National Bullying Prevention Day: Please join us in spreading kindness, peace, and love. Wear Tie Dye!
October 11th- Read A Thon limo ride for qualifying students. Students must return their permission form by 8:00 a.m. on the 11th.
October 15th- Drums with Ms. Combs
October 16th- Chorus with Ms. Combs
October 16th- Unity Day. Please join us in standing up against bullying, making our world safer, and practicing inclusivity. WEAR ORANGE!

The RCS Board of Education will hold their next board meeting at the Rockingham County Schools Central Office located at 511 Harrington Highway, Eden, NC on October 14, 2024 at 6pm. The BOE Policy Committee Meeting will take place at 4:30 PM in the upstairs boardroom.

The last week before Fall Break, fifth graders finished their water cycle unit with a read around the room scavenger hunt. They learned that our water today is the same water that has always been on our planet--Ms. Key assured them that it has been filtered since the time of dinosaurs!




Our Grandparents Literacy Luncheon sessions on September 9th and 10th were so much fun! Thank you to everyone who came to Dillard to celebrate with us!
