
Next week, we begin the Dillard Kindness Challenge. Take a look at some of the topics we will discuss and cover relating to being kind next week (in recognition of World Kindness Day on November 13th).


4th graders have been working in teams doing science experiments using the scientific method.

Reminder for RCS families - November 5, 2024 is an optional teacher workday and no school for students. Also, this is election day and we encourage all eligible members of the RCS community to exercise their right to vote.

On October 29th, Dillard Academy wore purple to honor our beloved Treva Tatum and all that she did for our school.





Our Veterans Day Program will be November 8th at Western Rockingham Middle School.


Friday was team jersey day for Red Ribbon Week.




RCS is hosting a RockATOP Apprenticeship Community Night Tuesday, October 29, 2024 beginning at 6pm at the Rockingham County Economic Development Small Business & Tourism Building. This event is open to all Rockingham County students regardless of school.

RCS families mark your calendars -- All schools on the traditional school calendar have two important dates coming up - an early release day Friday, October 25th and a teacher workday with no school for students on Monday, October 28th.


Fall retake pictures will be taken November 6th.




Students celebrated Red Ribbon week Tuesday by dressing in school colors or like a dalmatian.

Rachel’s Challenge brings people together and helps break down the walls that lead to
harassment, isolation, teen suicide and gun violence. Parents please join us on Tuesday, October 22nd at Rockingham County High School at 6:00 PM to hear this story!

Our PTO is working very hard to gather materials and organize our Trunk or Treat event on October 24th, 2024.
This year, we have partnered with McMichael High School students and other community members.
Our PTO is seeking candy donations for the event if you would like to contribute.
