
Our day is off to a bright start, thanks to Mrs. Jackson, Mrs. Hall, and Mrs. Martin – spreading kindness like a wave!
Tonight 3rd Grade, 4th Grade, Drums, and Chorus will perform our Spring musical FRIENDS FOREVER! Come out from 5-6 pm and visit your child's grade level for next year, get supply lists and other important information. Visit with Rockingham County Conservation agencies to learn how to help preserve our environment in remembrance of Earth day and even get a few seeds to plant. And of course at 6:15 enjoy our FRIENDS FOREVER performance by 3rd & 4th Graders, Drums and Chorus. Thank you Mrs. Combs for all your hardwork!


5th grade art is out of this world! They used sponges, drip paint, bottle caps and created their own rocket ships! 1st graders used paintbrushes on strings (inspired by Jackson Pollock) to create their cool and colorful llamas! Thank you Mrs. Stevens!

From 5:00-6:00pm, rising 1st -5th grade students will have the opportunity to visit teachers in their next grade level. Students will receive informational handouts, supply lists and take home supplemental materials for their new grade.
Our Spring Performance will begin promptly at 6:15.

Mrs. Ore's third graders learned about genres in library this week. They played a concentration matching game to show what they had learned.





Ms. Key's fifth grade students worked on creating videos for nonfiction Dewey decimals sections in library this week.




Fourth and fifth grade students had a great trip to the Greensboro Science Center.

Third thourgh fifth grade students competed all week in a Multiplication Math Fact Challenge. Congratulations to Ms. Key's fifth grade class on their first place win, Mrs. Jefferson's third grade class in their second place, and Mrs. Hooker's fourth grade class on their third place! Everyone did an amazing job!!

Our All-County Chorus students did an amazing job today!


Congratulations to our winners! Their names were drawn from last night's family night.


Rockingham County Schools will be hosting the 32nd annual Elementary All -County Chorus at Western Rockingham Middle School tonight at 6pm and the doors will be open at 5:30pm. There is no cost for admission, but donations are accepted and greatly appreciated. Students from elementary schools all across Rockingham County have been working very hard preparing for this amazing event. Under the direction of Dr. Brett Nolker and accompanied by Ed Spencer, students will work together to transform 5 pieces of music into a beautiful performance for the community to enjoy.


As a reminder the 15th Annual Catch the Reading Bug Community Reading Festival is Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 9 am - 2pm at Rockingham County Middle School!
