Dear Parents and Guardians,
As part of our continued commitment to student safety and well-being, I want to inform you that all Rockingham County Schools have recently installed Narcan, a life-saving medication used to reverse opioid overdoses. While we hope it is never needed, Narcan has proven to be an essential tool in responding to medical emergencies in schools across the country.

The decision to have Narcan available in our schools is part of a proactive approach to ensure we are fully prepared to handle any medical emergency that could arise. This medication can help save a life in the critical moments of an opioid overdose and is administered safely by trained staff.

We understand the importance of maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all students. Having Narcan on-site is an additional measure that aligns with our top priority: ensuring the safety and well-being of your children while they are at schools.

We kindly ask for your support as we continue to put measures in place that safeguard the health and safety of our students. Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to your school’s administration or me.

Thank you for your ongoing partnership in keeping our schools safe and secure.

Sincerely,

Sean Gladieux
