Curricula Overview:

In addition to the Core Curricula of English/Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies, Holmes offers numerous Elective Classes, including Band, Bible History, Chorus, Career and Technical Education, Physical Education and Health, Spanish and Fine Arts.

The school uses a block schedule, allowing students more concentrated time in core subjects (English Language Arts, Math, Social Studies and Science). Our curriculum is driven by the Common Core and NC Essential Standards, on which students are tested both periodically and at the end of each school year. 

Students have access to technology through networked computers in classrooms, the media center, and four computer labs, one with a flexible schedule. All rooms have telephones and internet access via the school system's wide area network.
