RECHS will begin exams on Friday December 13th - 20th. Students who are exempt from exams are not exempt from school attendance. Students who do not attend school December 13th - 20th will receive an excused absence for exam exemption.

Students are allowed to be exempt from teacher made exams if they meet the following criteria (extracted from student Handbook p. 15).
A students with an average of at least a 90 and no more than 3 class absences
A student with an average of at least an 80 and no more than 2 class absences
A student with an average of at least a 70 and no more than 1 class absence
Any student who has any ISS periods or OSS days will be ineligible for an exam exemption.
There will be no “excused or unexcused” designations for exam exemptions. The only exception will be when students are absent while attending school-related and approved functions under the supervision of school personnel or attending college scholarship interviews with prior approval from their counselor.
A student who qualifies for an exam exemption in a class may choose to take the exam to improve his/her final average.
Students are not allowed an exam exemption for End of Course Exams.
This semester, students taking Biology will take a county made final exam and the EOC. Students cannot be exempt from the county made final exam in Biology.
