RCS would like to invite our community to attend the RCS District Science Fair on Thursday, December 5th at Osborne Baptist Church in Eden. Elementary students will present projects from 8:30 - 11:00am with awards presented at 11am and secondary students will present projects from 11:30am - 2pm with awards presented at 2pm!
Dynamite Dalton Johnson scored his 1000th point for the RCHS Basketball team against Bartlett Yancey on November 26th, in a game that also resulted in a win for RCHS. Way to go, Dalton!

Animal Science I students have been raising meat birds for the past 8 weeks. This week students learned how to process them!
I believe these students have a new appreciation for their chicken on the dinner table.

On November 20, 2024 the RCS Board of Education Policy Committee Meeting will be held from 8:30 - 9:30 am and the RCS Board of Education Meeting will be held at 10:00am at the RCS Administrative Offices , 511 Harrington Highway, Eden, NC .

Congratulations to the RCHS FFA for their participation in the tractor driving contest! Ty Booker placed 1st in our federation and region for the tractor driving contest! He will get to compete next at the State contest on Feb 6 in Raleigh!
Brayden placed 6th in the federation and 11th in the region for Tractor driving.
Brayden placed 3rd in the federation and 9th in the region for truck driving.
Elizabeth placed 5th in the federation and 15th in the region in truck driving.

RCS families mark your calendars -- All schools on the traditional school calendar have two important dates coming up - an early release day Friday, October 25th and a teacher workday with no school for students on Monday, October 28th.

Rachel’s Challenge brings people together and helps break down the walls that lead to
