Good evening Wildcats! This is Mrs. Wray calling with your Weekly Wildcat Message!
We are looking forward to welcoming you back tomorrow for the first day of school! Please remember that bus routes, car lines, traffic, and the arrival and dismissal periods may be a little crowded and slow moving during the first couple of weeks. Thank you all in advance for your patience and understanding as we work out all the details! Just a few reminders about school starting tomorrow:
Students may be dropped off beginning at 7:45. Please do not exit the vehicles until the whistle blows and staff are on duty.
6th grade car riders enter at the 6th grade entrance, and you will circle around behind the building (follow the gravel drive) and 6th graders are dropped off at the steps in front of your building.
7th and 8th grade car riders enter campus at the main entrance, and traffic circles around on the right side and students get out on the sidewalk near the flagpoles.
For afternoon pickup - enter the same place you enter in the morning and we run two car lines exiting at the same time.
Students please remember you will walk through our new 'Weapons Detection System' every day upon entering your building. Please take out 3-ring binders or other items that we know will trigger the system. You will hand these items to a staff member and walk through.
A full list of items that are OK and those that will 'set it off' along with additional information about the systems can be found on our Website.
Students please also remember that while you may bring a cell phone/smart watch to school - those items should be put away inside your bookbag once you enter homeroom. We will not have them out during the day.
As a reminder: Any students who plan to try out for a fall sport - Tryouts begin TOMORROW, right after school for Football, Boys Soccer, Girls Tennis, and Softball. Tennis ends at 5:00, all other tryouts end at 5:30. Be sure you have a current sports physical on file before staying for tryouts! Remember to bring the necessary items for tryouts.
Parents & Students: Again this year, all students meals - Breakfast & Lunch - are at NO COST to students. Breakfast can be picked up daily in the lobby after students enter, and we encourage students to take advantage of the free meals at school each day.
We hope you are excited to begin the 24-25 school year! Your teachers and staff are excited to see you all tomorrow! Please call the school at 548-2168 if you have any questions! Thank you and have a great evening!
