Good evening Lincoln families! This is Principal Poe with several reminders for the week ahead. We will have another fun, holiday spirit week this week to countdown to winter break. Participation is optional. Monday is elf or reindeer day. Tuesday is red & green day. Wednesday is Christmas tree day. On Thursday, students are encouraged to wear holiday hats or headbands. We will wrap up our spirit week on Friday with ugly or festive holiday sweaters or shirts. Good News Club will meet tomorrow after school. Friday, December 20th is an Early Release Day. School will dismiss at 12:45pm on Friday. Please arrive on time to pick up car riders on the early release day and adjust schedules to receive bus riders at the bus stops two hours earlier than normal on Friday afternoon. There will be no school December 23rd-January 3rd. I hope you all have a wonderful winter break. Students return to school Monday, January 6th. I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I look forward to a successful 2025 at Lincoln Elementary! This concludes our announcements. Enjoy the rest of your evening.
The RCS 2024 District Science Fair award ceremony was held on December 5th at Osborne Baptist Church in Eden, NC recognizing students’ achievements in science comprehension and presentation through science project displays and interviews . A total of 81 projects were entered in the science fair to compete for the chance to advance to the Region 5 Science Fair to be held at Parkland High School on February 15, 2025. First and second place award recipients advance to the Regional Competition. Congrats to all competitors and all the best to those advancing to Regionals!!
RCS would like to invite our community to attend the RCS District Science Fair on Thursday, December 5th at Osborne Baptist Church in Eden. Elementary students will present projects from 8:30 - 11:00am with awards presented at 11am and secondary students will present projects from 11:30am - 2pm with awards presented at 2pm!

RCS families mark your calendars -- All schools on the traditional school calendar have two important dates coming up - an early release day Friday, October 25th and a teacher workday with no school for students on Monday, October 28th.

Second-grade gators have been having a blast learning all about the life cycles of different animals in Science class. This week, they got to witness the magical moment when their classroom eggs hatched, and now they have adorable baby chicks! So exciting! 🐣
Rachel’s Challenge brings people together and helps break down the walls that lead to
harassment, isolation, teen suicide and gun violence. Parents please join us on Tuesday, October 22nd at Rockingham County High School at 6:00 PM to hear this story!
