Black History Program 2017

Williamsburg Elementary had it's Annual Black History Program on Friday,
February 24th, 2017.  Staff, school board members, parents and students were treated to a musical performance directed by Mrs. Melodie Royster.   Third and fifth grade students sang songs including " I Have a Dream", " Free at Last", " Feelin Jazzy " and " One Nation".  Guidance Counselor Mrs. Andrea Davis directed the program adding in skits called " Hidden Figures ".  Students from each grade level participated in portraying 3 Famous African American Women ( Dorothy Vaughn, Mary Jackson and  Katherine Johnson) Fifth grader Jariel C. also recited the poem " Still I Rise" by Maya Angelou.
