RCS four-year cohort graduation rate has increased from 75.5 percent in 2014 to 81.7 percent in 2015. Of particular note, the RCS four-year cohort graduation rate was 65.8 percent in 2008. That represents an increase of 15.9 percentage points.

Ben Bullins won the NCHSAA 3A individual wrestling state championship in the 170 lb. weight class.
Kathryn Davis, Rockingham County Schools’ Physical Therapist, has received a 2016 Distinguished Service Award from the Exceptional Children’s Division of the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI).
McMichael High VEX Robotics team won the State Championship and will compete in the VEX World Championship.
Morehead High VEX Robotics team won the Winner of Excellence in the State Championship VEX Robotics Competition and will compete in the VEX World Championship.
